1972 cst blazer rearend cover

Does anybody know if the cst came with a chrome rearend cover. I've seen a couple with it and i was wondering if it was factory or just a coincidence .

Just a coincidence, GM never put chrome covers on at the factory.

I personally don't like them but I didn't want to remove it if it was from gm thanks.
