1972 CST Highlander

I just purchased a 1972 Highlander. It has a tag below the Blazer tag on each fender that says “ trailering special”. I am being told it was an option with, towing mirrors, trans cooler and factory hitch. Is there any value to restoring this option? Is there a code for it on the build sheet? Most importantly, do I keep the towing mirrors( great shape) or fill the whole and mount the smaller door mirrors.
Any information would help.

I have a k20 burb that has the trailering special badge, unfortunately my rpo sticker is missing. As for keeping the mirrors is a matter of personal preference. Do you plan to tow with it ? I would keep the trans cooler, and receiver hitch, never know when you just might have to tow something.

There are a few folks here that have some good info on the options and standard equipment offered from the factory. You'll get some good info soon.
