1973 / 1974 Grill Reproductions CONFIRMED NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION

I Ordered about a 1k worth of stuff from Wes this morning. :wink1:

He has top notch stuff and is a really nice guy, give him a call. :waytogo:

Finally, but I'm still going to keep my factory one. The that came with my 74 was in very good shape.

bmp...just want to make sure this guy gets supported so these grills remain available to all who want one.

Wow just saw this thread. Cool that someone's making factory reproductions of the '73-'74 grille. Up until now, if you wanted a new grille with a molded-in bowtie, you had to settle for the '77-'79, or '80 grille. Nice.

Now they just need to do the '75-'76 grille.

Ditto,Wes is the man! It's guys like him who love these trucks as much as us that makes it a pleasure to bring 'em back to their true glory. He has produced many a part over looked by the "Giants".

i just bought a perfect gmc grille/headlight buckets & turn signals out of iirc its a 73 or 74 gmc. i havent gone and pulled it yet. i have never seen another grille like it, not even in the catalogs. i'll take some pics before i take it all out. i am planning on swapping it onto a 79 frontcap i have and building a swb stepside gmc. for this swap, are there any special parts i need to make sure and get off the original 74 truck? sorry 4 hijack, its kinda on topic

Well, to do it right, you need the whole core support, but I have parted out a blazer that had the later core support that somebody added the mounting tabs. Other than that, you also need the center support since it is "deeper".
Oh yeah, I almost forgot since I took it off to save some weight, (yeah crazy I know) there is more mounting tabs at the end of the grill that bolt on the core support.

Good to see this. I figured it was only a manner of time with what the originals are going for now.

Can't count how many I missed on Ebay when they got too rich for my blood.

Yes...I finally won an NOS grill, but I believe I would be just as happy with one of these if I hadn't already got the NOS. Luckily I paid $212 for the NOS and the next day one went for over $600

They repopped these in 2011, which seems like yesterday....I had just bought a NOS original grille and didn't need one at the time...I didnt count on them stopping production

The ones that are gm authorized reproductions are allegedly real nice.
