I noticed in the ebay link that I posted on that nice 1975 stock blazer that there were courtesy lights that appeared to be under the dash and lit up the whole floor....is that stock?

Negative. I do not see footwell lights listed until late 70's trucks in the GM parts books. I could be missing it, but I don't see them.

I added the oem '91 right and left lights to mine that sit under the dash on passenger side between FBHP and glove box and drivers side between column and FBHP, they light up the footwells very nice. I also have a Gentex modern car mirror I wired in, with compass, temp, auto electrochromatic dim, homelink garage opener....and.....courtesy lights underside of it. THe courtesy lights come on with the door or there is switch on the mirror to turn them on. Very nice addition to 73-75's where no overhead exists. It was a PITA to pull the harness through the windshield header though!!! I think it took me half a day to do it.

sorry, but my 73 had a stock underdash light, it turns on with the dome light when you open the door or you twist the light switch.
Now if we are talking about a different kind of light, I apologize.
I know mine was top of the line and maybe not all models got it, but it was a stock option.:thumb:

What do they look like? Anything like the under hood light? Which while I am at it...were those stock too?

I didn't have an underhood light in my 73 or my 74, but my 80's had them and my 89 had a nicer one with an extension cord.
Now if you want any of the mentionned stock options I have them.:thumb:

I would be interested in the under dash courtesy lamps, but I would also like to know how they wire into the door push buttons and stuff....and where they mount

well I should have one complete with the wires, it gets it's power from the cigarette lighter, then the ground wire goes all the way to connect to the switch.
I will see if I can get a pic or maybe a diagram.

We talking under the dash in the center, under the ashtray? (in line with the passenger side of the tray)

That's on a 1974 Blazer, and my '74 pickup has an identical one.

Now, if you mean out on the sides, I've not seen any like that.

yep

Let me go look in the garage and see if mine even has the socket....

If it was a snake it would have bitten me! I have one! I've never seen it before...the wiring has been clipped I believe all the way to the door plungers...

The wiring is prettystraight forward, power comes off the lighter circuit. Then you have to wire together both door pin switches and also the white wire on the headlight switch to the ground wires on the dome light and under dash lighting.

I almost forgot to mention, if you buy new pin switches from LMC you will find that they used a smaller thread size than what the older chevys used. I have decided if I am going to go to pull your part and find used ones or weld the new switches in.
