Is anyone here familiar with properly installing and adjusting the door windows on a full vert.

I have my rubber sweeps and don't want to install them until I can get the windows to stay in the channels as I roll the windows up.

When they get near the bottom they drop out of the channels. :dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno:

This happens to the rear window on my 75' K5 so not sure if same is happening to door window. Bottom of window has "C" channel. The rollers that roll back and forth as the window goes up and down are nylon or plastic rollers (wheels) inside the channel. As they get old and rollers get stuck won't roll anymore they will wear a flat spot on the plastic roller to the point the rollers will now slip out of the "C" channel. The lips on the channel may be rusted off also. You may shine a flashlight down and try to see the bottom of the glass. Depending on if the window is up or down determines where the roller is in the channel. That would explain why it comes out only when the window is down. No way to adjust, only fix would to replace roller mechanism but I have no idea where to source those parts. I hope this helps or gives you a starting point.

I had the doors apart...the window channels are fine, I replaced all the nylon rollers, they aren't coming out of the window channel...it is the glass that is coming out of the vertical glass channels that have the felt in them

I understand now. That I don't know. It has been a long time since I have had my doors apart, I think the vertical channel has 1 bolt that mounts at the bottom inside the door accessible when the door panel is off which may be adjustable if the bolt came loose but you had the door apart and should have seen the bottom end of channel so I'm not sure. If that's not it I'm out of ideas.

Yeah..there's really not any adjustment on them...the front channel is part of the vent window and has 2 bolts at bottom to hold it in place..no adjustment
and the rear has one bolt to hold it in place...no adjustment...

wonder if new regulators would fix the problem?

Could be your aft channels are bent or weak and flex, adjustment is small and only side to side.

Yes, also what condition is the sash? Usually when the window comes out of the track something is worn or broken. Could be the aft vertical track is rusted where the mounting arm is attached to it.
