i can’t seem to find the difference between the Cheyenne edition and a K5 that is not?
I just picked up a 73 Cheyenne and was trying to learn more about it.

Needs rear floor replaced also wondering where the best option for a replacement would be?

Any extra help appreciated would love to save this truck to enjoy with the kids...

Cheyenne, Silverado, Scottsdale were trim level designations...

As to what specifically a Cheyenne had or didn't have, compared to the others, well, I don't know. I believe it was the base level trim package, so it was probably fairly standard stuff.

Truck mechanicals were all the same.

My 74 blazer was the Cheyenne edition. It came with Cheyenne badges and had the chrome trim. Factory A/c. Mine was missing parts when first purchased but had the wood grain on the dash with the Cheyenne badge. I assume the door panels also had wood grain but not 100% on that. It originally was one solid color but I added the white two tone.
I have seen some .pdfs with the options listed. Ill see if I can find them again.

Thanks for reply

Oddly, in the 70's, the Cheyenne was the high-level trim, as mentioned, and then yes, by the late 80's and 90's, it was the base level with rubber floor mats and manual door cranks and such. You never know what GM will do reusing names.

And as mentioned, the Brochures page is the best way to see, for any given year, what specific trim lines or trucks would have come with or not.
