1973 GMC JIMMY
(also on ebay starting at $2000 with no reserve item number 300251796775)
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Price $5500 obo

This sale is for my toy Project Torque, I need the money more than the toy. It's SMOG EXHEMPT in California. It has a 6 inch lift, 37 inch Interco SSR Swampers on CUSTOM $2000 bead lock rims (5 rims). It has a 500cid (cubic inch displacement) Cadillac BIG BLOCK engine that has been bored over .060 to make it 514cid. I have driven it only a few times since I completely rebuilt the whole thing. It has been off road only 5 or so times since the build. The transmission is a 3 speed th400. It has 2 transfer cases (np203 and np205) in it for ultimate low range options (1:1, 2:1, 4:1). The ultimate off road axle for the front, a Dana 60 with 5.13 gears, and a full time locker (only when hubs are engages so it doesn't affect street driving). In the rear it has a 14 bolt full floater (14FF) with disc brakes, 5.13 gears, full time locker. Both axles have HEAVY DUTY diff covers that you could drop the entire truck on and not dent them. Interior has been stripped and only has the front seats. It has power steering, power brakes, this is a monster that's great for ALL offroading sand, rocks, mud, or just trail rides with friends.*I have OVER $13,000 invested.

Reason For Selling

I'm selling everything because I recently moved to an apartment with only one parking spot. The truck was parked with family, but I just found out they are moving too and I can no longer park it there! I also need the money for rent here.

The winner MUST pick up the truck by the end of the month, or I keep the deposit. It would be best if you brought a trailer to pick up it if you live more than say 10 miles away. It does well on streets, just needs power steering fluid before the drive home.

The engine runs great, the carb needs adjusting for the idle, and the steering needs a little work. The truck will drive, but is dangerous at high speeds because the steering is a little loose, but it shouldn't take more than maybe a power steering pump to fix that problem. The truck has some rust around the wheel wells and doors, but it's a wheeler, not a show truck.

Wow, Branndon!!! I know everyone says $hit like this, but if you were on the east coast, I'd be the one to take everything off your hands.... I wish I was in Cali.:(

Hate to see you sell it.

Yeah, I mean those rims alone were that much... the axles another 2 grand at least.... I need the money for rent.... without selling it we couldn't cover the bills for the next 2-3 months. :(

Take it to Pismo with a for sale sign on it during a busy weekend (Labor Day is coming up!) and you might be surprised... there are quite a few rigs for sale on any given weekend down there...

You're tellin me!
Warn 9500ti
5 double bead lock custom rims
73 GMC Jimmy
1 ton axles with 5.13's and disk brakes.
TONS MORE... I hope I get at least 4 grand, but I'll sell it for what ever it sells for.

I will let my bud know, he's looking for a K5 or pickup.

Geez Branndon I can't believe you haven't got rid of this yet. That price is so tempting for me too....

BUY IT!!!!!!!!! lol It's a great deal... needs a LITTLE work, nothing a weekend and a few bucks couldn't fix. Auction ends tomorrow.

Ahhhhh I can't believe what this thing is going for... I know it's been said a thousand times but if I had the cash I'd be down there this weekend with a trailer to get it all...

I wish man... I'm still shocked you're selling it with all your stuff. Why not sell the truck then toss the tools, welder, extra stuff on craigslist and ebay? I bet you could squeeze another $1k or so out of the overall deal...

I could, but I was hoping it would sweeten the pot and sell the auction at a little higher of a price.

He is keeping an eye on it on e bay. He said he actually would rather have a pick up though, I said check it out for parts. He still might bid.

I told my dad about it last night and showed him the eBay ad... he said I should have sold my truck and bought project torque the first time you had it up for sale... I'm trying to get him to split it though :)

At least it's up to over $3k now... is that top bidder a CK5'er?
