I love my square body Burb but I would be lying if I told you I wouldn't like to have a 2007-2014 Z-71 Suburban as a stablemate. I have not warmed to the 2015 yet, I rented one for a week to see if I would like it and spent nearly 2000 miles driving around Big Bend region of Texas. It was nice but not $60K nice, I found a lot to not like about it but it had some good features too.

Both body styles are great in their own different ways.
The square body for the pure utilitarian do anything, go anywhere kinda thing and the NNBS for its pure sex appeal, reliability, comfort, luxury, and efficiency.

That said, I'd take the newer one over the older in almost every situation except offroading.

Man, the square bodies are beautiful when they're painted up nice. I'd like to repaint my '90 for travel and such. I get compliments on it at the gas diesel pump.

The new style, yeah they're nice, but it looks like every other aero styled SUV out there.

Same with me. I sometimes get compliments from others about my 90 GMC v1500. I once in a while have someone offering to buy it

I heard and read that the LTZ trim was around 90 grand

We rented a 2013 Suburban a couple of years ago to go on a trip and the wife and I noticed our 88 Sub felt a little roomier. There might not be a big difference but I did feel slightly more crammed in. I will say I did love the power it had. I'd love to put an LS engine in Toad.

Yeah, they're pricey. I only paid $72k for my old house. :eek1::eek:

lol

'cuz I have 2 already...

truthfully, my new Bride won't let me...........and the house was foreclosed on. It's the one I signed over to the ex. She quit paying. Of course, she wouldn't let me take it back. Talk about no good deed going unpunished.....:surepal:

I was just joking lol, but I hear you and sorry to hear that

Besides, no way I'm paying for a vehicle which could take years to pay off the same as a house with mortgage .

Its amazing what new cars cost in general. I cant help but to think about the ol corvette saying....how long does it take a vette to become a chevy? I would feel incredibly duped by myself for buying 70k dollar suburban only to sell it for 10k in a matter of less than 10 years.
