What are the symptoms of a dirty or bad ignition switch...and how do you get to it on one of these things with a tilt-wheel?

two bolts holding the column to the dash, remove those nuts, the steering wheel will drop down about 4 inches, makes it alot easier to get to the switch.

Can this switch cause ground faults?

Anybody got a picture or diagram of the wiring harness that goes in the ignition switch. I pulled the old one out and a thick pink wire was disconnected...I have no idea which slot in the harness this goes to.

I put it in and installed the new one and now the truck won't even attempt to start.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

That switch is a bear to put in...and it did nothing for the ground issue...my mind may be playing tricks on me but I believe that all the lights are brighter but that's all it did.
