1975 3/4 ton axles good?

yea thats good deal. congrats. those are external fulltime hubs. easy swap out for manual hubs.

the older axles are a little weaker. the d44's had external style locking hubs until '78 or so. after that they went to a stronger style internal lockin hub (still manual) in order to change to the internal locking hubs you must swap out the wheel hubs for the newer style ('80 or so and up)

If you put older axles on a newer truck, won't you have to relocate spring perches and possibly shock mounts?

nope. only time you have to move perches is in the rear axle and that is if you are putting a rear axle from a k30 into any other chevy truck or any rear axle from any non k30 truck into a k30. all fronts are the same

right.. yep the truck is mine, am picking her up tmrw after noon.. im taking the day off again.. need to rip the truck apart in 1 day only. motor is coming out, tranny, transfer case, both driveshaft, rears, and whatever is good inside the truck. then its scrap time.. i think i made the right move abt gettin the whole truck... so i guess the build thread will be coming up sooner than i thought..:D

So I can use any 3/4 ton axles from any truck no matter what year, and it will fit with no moving of perches or shock mounts? K30's are 1 tons, right?

from 73 to 87 half ton and 3/4 tons would work. just bigger u bolts. but when u get kit order 3/4 tons for 3/4 axles. 1/2 is for 1/2s. k 30 are 1 ton yes. what i know is my new 3/4 tons will bolt in 1/2 ton truck.. i dunno abt brake booster hey yall will my half ton brake booster will work with 3/4 tons?

uncanny how much those trucks look like they are from Mi with the rust and all. I hate salt.

the truck is being traded with this car.. and i got to pay him some too.. otherwise i trade in my dodge too.. what u guys think? want to buy the dodge? or what? good shape, runs. not too good.. able to go home 200 miles. frame looks good. drivers side a arm needs replacing.. its temp fix home made a arm. body real nice shape.. normal rust.. no majors. no rust thrus.. just one spot on box that is rusted thru.. any offers acceptable. need to know by sat. thanks.. 1987.. i forget the miles.. but around 140k i think. NEED THE TRUCK?? COULD BE FOUND IN JUNKYARD AT ELMHURST.. TOOK THE MIRRORS OFF, REAR DRIVESHAFT BRAND NEW.. TOOK THAT OFF... RIMS.. SOME STUFF..
