Good afternoon. I have a question about my air conditioning control switch. I had my mechanic replace mine because it wasn’t blowing cold air when you switch it up to the highest setting which is four. It blows air in 1 to 3 but when you switch it to 4 it just shuts off. He went through the whole system with the new AC control switch in and it does the same thing with the new one. He’s not sure if it’s a defective control or if that’s just the way they were. Should it blow cold air on the highest setting? The amount of air coming out on three seems pretty weak so I assume there must be a higher speed setting. If so has anybody else experienced this and what might be the problem? Thank you all in advance.

High speed is fused in the engine compartment. check the relay on the passenger side of AC box,

Could it be in the wiring harness on the firewall? I found a fusible link that looks baked and my mechanic had already replaced the fuse on the ac box.

The high blower circuit goes straight through the resistor block,no voltage drop, from hi blower relay to blower motor.
