markrazz submitted a new Build:

1975 GMC Jimmy start restore/restro/rebuild..

well got the top off and spent the last few night sanding away to get it ready for a rust converter which is now added before priming and herculining this weekend ...
Really all surface rust with a few pin holes that I believe the herculiner should be able to fill if done right
Few pics as I go....
Fig a good time to do interior in winter before working on exterior and motor during the warmer weather..

Plan to bedline entire interior black
Fix dash area
Bedline spray exterior orange or lime green
Engine seemed to have extras done so fig that out and has a few small leeks to address
Make a bikini top
Custom seats
Convert tailgate to truck gate and camper style rear window for few time top is used
Raised with double shocks so need to fig that out to improve if needed.

Read more about this build here...

Man I think with the Herc liner and deadener in there, ought to quiet it down a fair bit

Ya I really wasn’t planning on doing the carpet but fig with the soft top it would be nice, and then of course I figures well if I’m getting carpet why not deadenoor and so it goes ...on and on a small project started with no top and herculiner and ended up fully toppe and carpeted...lmao
I might even be able to listen to the radio now....

Ooo radio. I really need to add the deadner to mine. The factory everything in the cab is shot.
Maybe some door seals and window rubbers too

Wow, you win the loto? I was looking at sound deadening like that for my Sad Sub project, but the cost was just prohibitive. I wound up getting some very dense industrial felt and lining the floors with that.

Anyway, nice project. Good luck with it.

$55 for 50 sqft so I spent $110 which was less than the carpet
So of the other stuff was crazy expensive but did The multi search and Amazon had this stuff with great reviews and it is good stuff

That's not too bad. I would probably need a third kit for the Sub, but depending on how noisy it is when it hits the road (probably around 2030 at the rate I'm going), I may have to find that stuff and give it a try.

Got the soft top on today....I like the it takes 1-2 hours to install on the web page....lmao
A master mechanic with all the tools and an invisible friend that helps couldn’t get this thing put on that quick....
So plan a few hours to do it right and they can go —- them selveves if they can get it done that quick..
FYI tried calling 4x to ask questions but no phone support , just a message letting me know they were open...lol

Anyway great product just weak instructions and no support or videos on real questions ....
