Ok, posting has been deleted by author, according to the CL link.

Now on this '75, I see Spicer lockouts on it which means the t-case is the 205.

I was expecting to see solid hubs and a 203 in it instead.

So, without a voting poll, which year is definitely the 465/203 combo? '74 or '75?

I once looked at a 74, all original 3/4 pickup for sale, and it had the 465/203 in it...

According to the standard catalog of 4x4's by Robert Ackerson automatic blazers got the 203 and manual tran blazers the 205 case in 75

GM made ONE year, either the '74 or '75, with the 465/203 combo. The rest of the 465's had 205's behind them.

The catalog claims 1975 V-8 trucks came with the 203 and six's had the 205

Never trust a catalog. Ever.

I've seen numerous books, magazines and articles that were wrong on some stuff. Whether they be years, parts, engines, etc. Even parts stores catalogs and computers have been wrong, too.

1974 was the one and only year for the 465/203 combo. 1975 would have gotten a 205 behind the 4 speed.

hmmm..no wonder a sm465 to 203 adapter is so hard to find..hint hint OP...does that parts truck have that adapter he would part with?

So '74 it is. Gotta remember this from now on. Hard to do in my old age. :doah:

It is the 74 that had that, but for some reason my 74 came with a 205 behind the 465, maybe it was a late 74 as a 75 model.:dunno:
I did hve a 465/203 when I first bought my 76 K5, the shop that built it with the perkins diesel slapped that combo on and made a twin stick setup for it too.
I drove it once in 4wd and the chain was broke and wedged against the case a broke it.
I didn't know much about their rarity so i sold the adapter and range box to a guy in my club for $100 after I put a 205 in it's place.:doah:
