I am looking to sell my 1976 GMC complete. This is the first I've posted it so if I can't sell the whole thing for a decent price I will be forced to part it out. I put it together over the past couple years and wheeled it 3 times. Sad, I know. Onto the list of goodies:
  • 1976 GMC 3/4T 4x4 longbox regular cab
  • 2000 vortec 454 with a 1997 ECM, custom programming to remove torque management, EGR/evap/AIR/etc. I also built an intake for it that uses a nice K&N filter. Has $$$ Hedman Elite coated headers with ball and socket collectors and Flowmaster mufflers
  • Rebuilt TH350 with the "race" shift kit and a nice cast aluminum pan. Also has a Summit torque converter with slightly higher than stock stall and a new flexplate that was required to make the Gen 6 BBC work with this trans/converter.
  • 39.5" boggers on 16.5" rims showing just some chunking from rocks/fenders/whatever
  • 6" Tuff country front springs
  • 4" rear blocks
  • D44 front with Sky high and crossover steering, uses all GM TREs, 4.10's, open, all new front brake calipers/rotors/pads/stainless braided lines, and Warn hubs (have spares as well)
  • Rebuilt 2wd steering box
  • Rear axle is a 14BFF with a Detroit locker and 4.10's and all new rear disk brakes with new rotors/pads/calipers/stainless braided lines
  • New rear driveshaft
  • Has a Warn 8274 with Amteel blue line in a custom cradle that is sunk into the front of the truck. It doesn't stick out past the front framehorns.
  • DIY4x motor mounts
  • Optima Battery
  • ORD bolt-on steering brace
  • ORD front spring shackles
  • All new brake hardlines
  • New in-tank fuel pump
Braided stainless fuel supply and return lines

The bad:
front driveshaft needs help, it's beaten to a pulp
There are dents and the like typical for a truck that has wheeled in the rocks and trees.

I really don't know what people are willing to pay for something like this since it's not a gorgeous mall cruiser. I have a D60 front for it that isn't installed as well. Is $6500 a fair price for something like this? I don't really know. If anyone truly is interested I will take pix and post them. If I start to get good offers for parts I might just part it out. :( It runs awesome and has power to spare.

And more pix. I might be asking too much for it?!?! It's ugly but runs and wheels with the best of the fullsize trucks. The only body rust is the front lip on the hood and the cab floor. The cab floors were repaired before I got it and they have been holding up but they didn't do a "professional" job.

The engine had 30,000ish miles on it when I got it and I have put a few hundred on.

If you have any questions post 'em up.

Andy, you still have that two tone blue truck that you built up? Or is that one this truck you're selling here? Whats the scoop on that old one? I still have pics printed off from your website.

No that truck is long gone... It was a fun machine. I still have most of the good parts-the D60, the 14BFF, the engine, etc. I had a bit of accident with it and the frame was twisted beyond repair so I took it all apart and started a new project, a 1994 S10, using the drivetrain from that. Well that got about 50% done and it got pushed to the side for a few years. In the mean time I bought this white truck so I could feed the wheeling bug. It was in sad shape mechanically when I bought it. Had a 5" *body* lift, stock 350, broken TH350, steering was barely functional, no brakes, nada. I fixed it all up and did some wheelng with it.

I undid the 94 S10 and i have a huge pile of parts as well. The current project is using the 94 S10 cab with Unimog 406 axles that I got last winter, the 454 from the blue truck, and a bunch of other parts from other places, complete with a new frame and all that jazz. So I've decided that this white truck needs to go. It needs some things but if a person wants to get a reliable, powerful, capable truck, this has most of the goodies done already. If not, I think I will just have to part it out.
