Been working on my 1976 Chevy K5 Blazer. I went from a 203 to a 205-transfer case. Of course, now I need new drive shafts. I know you could get a 205 in 1976. Is there a standard-length driveshafts that I need? 400 small block with a TH350. A place I can buy them off the shelf. (Part numbers.) Do I need just to special order a new set?

Once upon a time you could go to the dealer and order the correct one. Obviously that’s long gone.

I don’t think many parts stores will have a source for stock replacement shafts.

Probably the best way to go is work with a driveshaft shop and give them the measurements. They might be able to rework what you have or just build new.

Thanks Guys. Would there be a standard-length front and rear drive shaft for my Th350/305 transfer case set up? Or do I just have to measure it. Kinda being lazy. lol

The 205 came factory, behind the sm465 manual trans.
The sm465 and the th350 in 4x4 are same length.
You want drive shafts from a manual.
The front might be little tricky.
The out put shaft flange can be different depending on year.

I did the np205 for np203 swap with th350 on a 77 k20 burb.
I used the 2 piece driveshaft from a sm465 k20.

Took both driveshafts in today. AZ Driveshafts said they will rebuild both driveshafts for on $275. (deal!!!)
