Hello! I am going to be building a K5 soon and I have two options to start from. Either a 1976 Cheyenne package or a 1991 Silverado package. Both are in about the same condition. I’m not worried about factory engines or drivetrains as I have options to choose from. What would you choose and why?

What are you using it for? driver? toy? offroad? On road?

Do you need legroom in the backseat?

Do you like the round eye looks are the modern 91 grill? Do you like the shovel nose or the old flatter hood?

(For example, I prefer in between, the shovel nose with the stacked quad headlights of the 80s, but they all look good)

It’s gonna be a mix..powerhouse on off-road, but classy enough to put In a local car show as a daily driver. Nothing over the top. I’m leaning towards the 76 due to the first year of the half top

Then I think its just purely preference and if you want the creature comforts and rear leg room of the 91 or the nostalgia of the 76.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice....
