MO 1977 Chalet

No way, I found this truck a few weeks ago here in Missouri!

Yep, way. Nashville ebay listing ending in mid July 2016, the second of two listings. Two more Craislist ads for it in Nashville appeared July 22nd & August 12th 2016, so I'm assuming that 'winning bid' wasn't a winner after all. Next I saw it in a 5/2017 Franklin TN Craigslist ad with a different phone number, and then in three back-to-back ebay listings in Olive Hill Kentucky, May/June 2017, the third one is this one. For some odd reason, the latest Missouri seller was using the same photos at the last Olive Hill ebay listing.

Wow, it has quite a track record! But it currently resides in Wentzville, MO.. And has been sitting there for quite a while now.. At least a couple months.. Hopefully this guy has intentions of saving it and not just passing it on..!

Seems to be another flipper, since the MO Craigslist ad for #1037 got a new shot 5 days back: https://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/d/1977-blazer-chalet/6332951769.html But the weird thing is how the seller has another Chalet in the background, which is #0480. But that one got relisted on ebay ending on Oct 5th in Olive Hill KY: http://www.ebay.com/itm/253174556686 (he claims it is #0007, but he knows better since one of my pals got him to send a pic of the serial # plate. His bit about relisting it due to non-paying bidders is a crock, all he did was copy 'n paste the same text from his #3 listing of this from back in May. His latest listing for #0480 is its seventh).

This is from the e-mail I had sent him inquiring about the Chalet. " I dont know when it ran last. I think hey made a total of around 1700 over 2 years. The title is signed over to the dealer I bought it from in Kentucky. He will provide necessary paperwork to get it transferred. Thanks, Ken"

Well, at the very least I can put a first name in my mega-spreadsheet for the current owner. Can't imagine why these bop around the way they do among dealers. What we have here is a camper unit worth maybe $300 atop a truck that's likely beyond salvaging and only good for the assorted parts which could be sold off it. I wonder if some dealer/flippers don't con other dealers about the values of these ....
