On 1977 blazers were the two type of front axles the lockout hub kind and the fulltime fourwheeldrive kind? Just wondering, I have a truck with supposed 1977 blazer axles on it and they dont' have lockout hubs just a silver hub cover with no bolts or screws. How hard would it be to put lockouts on it, and do i need a conversion kit? thanks, schmidty

Yeah, the silver hub cover means you just have full time 4wd... which means you have a 203 T-case.

You will need new L/O hubs and the conversion kit for the T-case to swap it over to a part time system.

I always liked my 77 K10 with the full time, made driving on roads durring bad weather pretty much idiot proof. But, I got pretty respectable gas mileage in my 77, which most don't, so it was a lot easier to live with.
