Some pics of the custom track bar, steering box re-location, and engine bay. All the fab work has been done by jack at weldpro customs

There are bumpstops in the two pictures above.

I would like to see more pics of the track bar, and hear about the steering box relocation. Mainly why and how :D

Also what are you running for a front shaft? I have a similar suspension set up, and I have driveshaft issues at full droop combined with the axle wrap my joint will bind. I am planning on limit strapping my front. Have you had any issues?

.....maybe a dumb question, but why the track bar?

well we had to move the steering box as far forward as possible simply for space. There is none at all for the track bar which I needed to keep the thing on the road(SEVERE SPEED WOBBLE). So it was unbolted and a plate was welded to the frame to match the contours of the steering box mounting holes(which aren't flat) and then after extending the steering shaft a bit it bolts right back on. It also helps with the angle of the tie-rod. The front shaft is actually the stock shaft out of the blazer. It works great so far, the tranny crossmember did have to be notched out however so it would have full range of motion. And the only bit of flex that the track bar took away was 1 inch of up travel on the drivers side, other than that it still works good. I will have more pics for details but my camera died as I was taking the last ones:mad:

Coll rig :waytogo: that is deffinetly some flex. X2 on more pics, always looking for a new ideas. :D

I got some more pics of the track bar and a couple others just for fun.

The whole track bar, just a slight bend to match the tierod. Also shows the plate welded to the frame for the steering box to be moved forward. We also put a brace on the inside of the frame to stiffen it up.

This shows the notch out of the tranny crossmember to keep the front shaft from binding.

The interior, fiberglass does wonders on rusted out floor boards.

The look and final stance. Still thinking of painting it with bed liner....

Rear shackle hanger/angle once again jack from weldpro always does great work.

And a couple from spring/winter test runs. Still workin out the bugs....

check out my build thread i moved the blinkers to the grill we have the same grill it worked out sweet. any other pic you have would be great. like box off or side shot of how straight the drag link is with axle moved forward so on.

So does anyone know how much front fenders for this girl will be( I don't imagine too much). I am going to need some one day if I want to take my time and paint it shiny(I do like to look nice sometimes :D). Or should I just paint it with bed liner and not have to worry about it on the trail.

Try and find a good used set front clips go for about 200.00
Nos fenders dont fit all to great but work well for offroad use i think thaey are 150 or so a piece.guess

Use colored bedliner in the same Red and White scheme. 70's 2-tone GM's look great with the original scheme if you can't decide.
