:confused:im looking at a truck thats a 77c10 i belive its a 77 not sure yet i have to look at it longer, but i was wondering if an older year like 77,76,75 still had smpg stuff just minimal? i live in ca. lket me know. this trusk has a canister, one vacumeline going from the carb to canister, and another going from the lines that hook up to the headders. is this enough stuff for smog for this year?:confused:

I used to have a 76 blazer but it was a federal (49 state) emissions which had PCV, TAC, EVAP. The same year with California emissions would have had, PCV, TAC, EVAP, EGR, and CAT.

If you don't want to deal with having to test just buy a 1975 or older.

yea thats what i wanna do, i think this truck might be older than a 77 im not sure. but it has to have all the stuff u listed right?

and can u tell me what all those mean? i dont know what the TAC is

PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation
TAC = Thermostatic Air Cleaner
EVAP = Evaporative Canister
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
CAT = Catalytic convertor

thanks man. the TAC the air cleaner, its that that the one with the hoses hooked up to it? do u know where i can find a pic of an engine with all these things on it to use as a reference?
