Hi, I'm the proud new owner of a 1987 Chevy SWB k10. Thanks to Chris. He was a great guy to deal with. I work a very weird schedule and He was willing to wait for a time I could pick it up. And, got it ready for me.

I've been lurking her for a little while, ever sense I decided to build another Truck. When I know I was getting it I started looking for the first upgrade. Jimmys4x4 had I engine for 5.3l with the Psi conversions set up for non electric Trans. I had so 40's procomps that I got a pretty goo deal. But, not sure to use or stick with the H1 beadlocks.

Plan:
build 5.3l cam, springs, and rebuild.
Hydro assist
sliders
belly pan
winch
40's
maybe a bed, or just a ok driver side
and just upgrades here and there

New home. only problem I have is its about 1" to tall for the garage. I will try to find some stock rollers.

Glad you're happy with it! Im excited to see what you do with it to make it a better rig. Just don't start slacking on the updates :D. How was the ~300 mile trip? Everything go ok?

Sad to see it go from the local area but glad to see plans for it!

Spent Sunday under the rig and made a plan of attack. I picked up a set of 56" Leafs for the rear. Got a fuel cell 16Gal from a friend. A little smaller than I would like, but the price was right. So if later I get a bigger one, I will swap it. I will be at work, out of state for the next week probably. So when I'm back in, the Spring packs need pulled apart and cleaned up. I need to start looking at all the fuel plumbing that I need and get it ordered. Pick up some steel for slides and bumper. And, if I get a chance I want to rebuild the T case.
Where in CO are you? We should wheel sometime
.
For now I'm in Brighton and an buddy towed the truck to my house in Grand Junction. But, have no problem to drive to go wheeling. I want to build it to a dependable on road and off.

Awesome truck you picked up and definitely like the direction it's going. Sub'd, I'm also in Brighton if you ever need a hand

Glad to see this one go to another member so we can all see where it goes. Was one of my favorites and sounds like you've got a good direction to go with it.:waytogo:

I really liked this truck a lot. After my k5 sold I wanted to buy it really bad but didn't. Glad to see it went to someone that's building it some more.
