a friend came across this doing some work up north nj. hes not a Chevy guy. So you passed it on to me. I got to talk with the father about his sons truck.. Saw the other night. Forgot a camera though. Anyway here's what it is.
78 k20 not from New Jersey. No way. way to clean and rust free.
Truck originally had a 400 th400/205.. That is in good working order. Truck now has LS v8 from scrapyard in PA. Motor has 67K on it. transmission is nv4500 bolted to a twin stick 205. nv4500 is a mid-90s. Rebuilt with updates. In all the paperwork that was there didn't see anything that said what updates were done. 205 is twin stick and rebuilt. rear has a 14 bolt out of the CUCV with disc brakes. All the suspension is new ORD parts. Tough country Springs. Front axles and 10b. Seems really only thing on the truck not touched. I can find in the 60s easy enough. There is no brake lines fuel, lines, drive shaft or wiring. Found a coil of stainless steel brake line. Some fuel line. Think is fuel line. Said twist lock on the box. Had big aluminum fittings.
Father wants the truck out of the way.. the son went to school. Truck hasn't been touched since.. Seems that all the big stuff is done.. Just little stuff needs to be taken care of.. still waiting for the son to call me.. I know there is a good amount of money there.. No idea what offer the guy..
