Truck sold.

1979 Chevy K10 (half ton, 4 wheel drive). Visually the truck is a little rough around the edges, but it has been a solid, reliable truck that has never given me trouble. Very little rust to be found on the truck- some surface rust here and there, I haven't found any spots on the truck that have rusted through.

350 engine, SM465 manual transmission. Odometer has probably rolled over. Single cab, long bed- definitely the best of all the cab/bed combinations. Manual choke on the carb. Manual locking hubs. I rebuilt the rear brakes. New door panels, seat cover, and dash cover. New heater core. New water pump. (All "new" stuff replaced in the last year). Odometer does not work. Speedo does. Radio also does not work, I never got around to trouble shooting that so I'm not sure what the issue is there.

This has been a great truck for me- I haven't driven it a ton, but every time I have it has run well. Only getting rid of it because I bought a new Tacoma and don't need a second truck.

Please ask any questions, I can take more specific pictures if you want.

Located in Divide, Colorado (30 minutes west of Colorado Springs).
$4700, obo.

No idea. I really don't know much history of the truck- the prior owner to me was a 15 year old kid who bought this to be his first truck, then decided he liked dirt bikes more and sold this without ever putting a license plate on it. He bought it from a dealer in Canon City, Colorado, and had no further history than that.

Just wondering, maybe he painted it chevy orange.
My Dad lived in Canon city for a bit before he moved to Howard.

Could've painted it, could be a replacement engine?

Had to look up Howard. The name sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it. I've definitely driven through there plenty. One of my favorite routes for riding my motorcycle runs right through there.

I rode hwy 50, years ago through there. Yes its a great motorcycle road, runs along a river IIRC?

This thing is really cool and that's a fair price. I have absolutely no reason to buy another truck but deep down I'm tempted to finally sell my Mitsubishi and buy this. Haha

Its a damn cool truck. I'm sorry to see it go, but I overreached a bit with the cars and ended up with too many and not enough time for the family. Realized I should probably stick with one project car/truck, and I'm going to hang on to the AMC Spirit I've had since high school.

I'd buy it myself if I had the coin. If anything for the connection to the dealership. But I need one like an extra hole in the head.

Truck sold, to some guy intending to turn it into an EMP proof bug out vehicle to give to his daughter. I tried not to ask any questions...

LOL congrats on the sale.

By far the weirdest experience I've had selling a vehicle. We went everywhere from other preppers like him having plans to blow mountain passes to keep the riff raff out if anything big ever happens, to Leonardo DiCaprio drinking children's blood, and many other strange places along the way.
