Live Long and Prosper
I have a 1979 Blazer that I bought a few months back intending it to be a project vehicle. I drove it once (14 miles round trip) then it wouldn't start the next day. I had a friend help me tow it to the shop so we could inspect it. After some troubleshooting we pulled the plugs and found that one of them had been crushed into itself (that's the best way I can explain it). So we stuck an inspection camera down and saw part of the top ring and oil ring sitting on top of the piston, and when we drained the oil it had quite a bit of coolent in it. So it probably has a cracked block and does not run. The engine was a Chevy 350 with an edlebrock carb and intake manifold backed by a turbo 350 trans and an NP203 transfer case. I had bought the vehicle from a farmer and the mice had gotten inside the truck at some point and ruined the carpet so I tore the carpet out. It has a fair sized rust hole on the passenger side just behind the front tire and a corresponding hole in the passenger floor board. Besides that there does not seem to be very much rust.
At this point in time I don't have the money to fix it up like I would like to so I figure I am better off sell and using the money to pay off a couple bills. I'm asking $1350 and you can tow it home. Thank you for your time.
