1979 Suburban with blazer removable top

I love how you did this conversion. I've looked at your pictures multiple times. Great job

Thanks a lot. I looked at every picture I could find of trucks similar to mine before I built it. I was in shear ahhh. Now all I have to do is look outside. I get a lot of thumbs ups, compliments, and people wanting to know what I'm driving. I wouldn't mind doing it again for a paying customer if they wanted a nice show truck.

well im not going to do that to mine untill i have the time....and that will prob be never.

your just looks perfect, would love to see what you do different next time.

and cool you made the mag too

I posted pics of your rig at Jeep forum.com...they like it!

(my wife has a grand cherokee)

I'm ready to see yours finished and compared it to mine. We did things differently but will end up with the same basic truck. I have a 1 inch hair line crack one each side right behind my rear doors. They haven't went any farther than that. It starting to rust a little because water is getting in through the hairline crack in the paint so i'm gonna sand it and just put a little bed liner on it so it can still flex and not cracked again. I also didn't finished sanding the top all the way before painting so its still a little rough on the top. I figured no one will see if so heck with it for now till I get a ship I can drive it in and get it repainted.

:haha:

Me and you both brother. I am going with a minimal lift with 54s and again hope to be on it again here shortly.:D

Cool I'm glad they liked it. I see your in Aircraft sheet metal. What kind of Aircraft?

Military stuff..I have worked on A-6E's, F-14's, CH-46's...the A-6 was my favorite. I was involved in the rewing project they went through, right before they were scrapped. Very cool work that was. Pull the nose off, pull the tail off, yank out the old wing, slap in the new carbon fiber wing set. Then reassemble. Loved it!

I work in a manufacturing shop now, I make parts for all Marine Corps aircraft types. :waytogo:

I know that this is an old thread but God this thing is wicked cool! I've been debating doing something like this to my burb, I'm pretty sure in convinced now! I've even got the perfect doner blazer hehehe
