You know the story, I dont want to get rid of this, but I have too much stuff and I have to make some room.

Its an '80 cab and chassis, was once a mason dump, belonged to a local water authority.

the truck has been sitting without being started for about ten years. It has really low miles (I forget, like under 50k, I'll have to check) but its been neglected for a long time so enerything has to be rebuilt anyway.

there is a PTO, I think its on the transmission. It once had a pto front winch, which the previous owner took off and sold:doah: the shafts are still there.

rusty floors, bad electrical system, rear brakes were siezed, so I took the shoes out.

I have the original title, but there is a problem with it. Someone signed the back as a buyer and I dont know who he is, so NJ wont give me one in my name unless I get a clean one from the water company that owned it.

located in essex county NJ

more pics will be added soon

I want this! Any ideas on getting it to Central Alabama???? Sucks that you are so far away.

Don't the cab & chassis trucks have a straight/flat frame behind the cab?
Due to the hump in the frame, it looks like a DRW pickup without a box to me.

My dad has a '78 K30 cab/chassis that he bought brand new, it has the hump in the frame too. You can tell it is a cab/chassis be cause the inner rear tires are right up against the rear springs (width). The duallys have some space in there.

cab & chassie has narrow rear axle. other than that same frame. and some can be longer wheelbase than std pickup. mine is 135" std pickup is 131.5"

C&C have same frame as a standard K30. They lack the 8 holes on the tops for the bed bolts. They are also 4" longer in wheelbase than the standard LWB trucks. Right at 135.5" long. Check your RPO sticker in the glove box. The wheelbase is shown up at the corner of the sticker.

I'm gonna post up some more pics tonight, including a pic of the rpo codes.

I know it definatley has the narrow (cab and chassis style) 14 bolt rear.

I'll do whatever I can to help out a buyer. But I have no means of towing right now. I could rent a truck and a trailer and take a trip if someone is willing to pay for it.

Here are some more pics.

The pto is on the trans, and has two shafts. One goes forward, and one goes to the rear. The front went to a winch. The rear went to a hydrualic pump for the dump bed, which is also gone.

I could not find RPO codes in the glovebox, or in the engine compartment, I forgot to look at the underside of the hood though, maybe its there...

Backroads, what's the zip code where the truck would be picked up?

Where in 'Bama are you? I might be able to help with getting the truck closer to you.
