You are right about that, some people don't like it, I only post to get feedback, and that comes in many ways.
I don't particularly like fishtail pipes but in your case I think it's fitting the theme. That seatback really ties it together with the fishtail pipes

If I go fishtail it I’ll have to be upswept or cut shorter lol

Yeah that rear is too skinny for this taillight.
You can use a small oval, it would look good
