went and saw a 1980 k30 today . guy came in to work today and wanted to sell it. heard i like the older chevys. so i got his info and went over after work.

well body is shot bad but the truck is a real 1ton 4x4. then i looked at the frame still solid but some scale on it. it has a 350/465/205 slip yoke style. the best part i saw was factory high back buckets and thay are white. center console still there also. and it has a factory tach cluster also.

but i think the real best part will be the 12,000 gvw spec on the door badges on the cab. not many 12k gvw trucks around here that i have seen.

hope to get it soon for a later build up or part out not sure yet.

Sounds like my k30. Patch it together lift it 4" and wheel the piss out of its. I can see through my box floor and the sides want to fall off.

some of you asked for pics of said truck and options. well i will be able to get them for you as i pic it up sat afternoon then i will own it.

Tach Dash and Bucket seats ??????

thats a rare truck man you should restore it and DD'it

factory tow hooks and white interior and swish cheese body ready to fall off frame. but ya a newer body would be swaped on to help make it better.

33x12.50x16.5 on it now.

I'll buy the buckets and brackets and console from you if you part it out

My dad has the exact same truck but its a 79 and he's an ass he wont sell it to me

this makes the second K30 I've seen with buckets and a 4-speed

I want it to go to New Mexico its for the truck in my Avatar

o.k. i get it. but just so we dont get in trouble for sales in the garage from now on pm's please.

and i got your pm message and read it and deleted it to keep the stuff private for now.

Man that truck is a gold mine of options/parts. In it's day that truck would (still is) have been the shat!

If those trailer special emblems ever need a new home, please call me first. :wink1:

Is the tag still on the glove box??

if so would you take a picture of it so we can see the option codes?? also it would be cool o see what else it has that makes it have the 12,000GVW

I agree, a list of the rpo's would be neat to see. Are you sure it's a 350? I've seen a couple of '80 3/4 tons that had 400's, that would be real cool.
