1981-91 drivers side battery tray

how does the battery sit on that? I need one, but confused on how it mounts and how the battery sits. Thanks, Ryan

yeah, i think I want it, just trying to figure out if the battery mounts sideways with that tray??

dead thread.... but is this possibly still avail? Or does anyone else have one they're willing to sell?

FYI, it mirrors the mounting on the passenger side. You go order the little rubber hold down from kragen to hold the battery.

On my 91 burb, the hole locations were dimpled on the fender, just had to drill out. My charcoal canister was in the way, so i mounted it to the side of the battery tray.

Yep, i did the same thing. I bought my driverside tray new from the dealer and it only cost IIRC about $35.00 brand new.

but isnt the support under it different?

Yep, bought the tray, support, hold down and the hold down bolt from the dealer and all total was about $35.00. This was about 7 years ago so the dealer might not carry them any longer but worth a shot. Like Darren said, the fenderwell and inner fender are dimpled where the holes need to be drilled.

I understand its just on the opposite side. Turn the tray around, the fender mount will line up no problem. the problem is when the pass side one is flipped around, the mount to the inner fender contour would be facing away. is the inner fender mount reversible?
