Depends on how the hitch is made, but likely.

The frame horns on both ends changed from 73-80 to 81-91 ... but IIRC, the rear one isn't as changed as the front.

I think the hitch on my '85 is the one that came off my '74. I may have had to drill a coupla new holes, nothing catastrophic. Well, that's going the other direction and I seem to remember sawzalling something off ... I would say you have some work ahead of you and it won't be a bolt on.

If you weren't four and a half hours away I'd make you a deal on one in my yard.

A while back during a "truck change" I took the hitch off my '84 and put it on my '79 framed truck. I just had to drill a few holes.
