I have a 1981 Chevy K30 crew cab for sale. Dana 60 front, 14-bolt ff rear, 454, SM465, fixed yoke NP205, etc. Tires have tons of tread and they are wrapped around some aluminum rims. Project plans have changed, as I have other K30 projects going. Despite the crappy paint job and interior, this truck has good bones. Very-very little rust, there is a spot on the LH rear door, and some weird spots on the hood. I have a good door and hood to go with truck! Rockers, floors, and cab corners all look solid. Interior is pretty roached! 454 is tired, but seems to start and run great. It has a Weiand Stealth intake manifold and an Edelbrock carb on it-also has chrome air cleaner, just not shown in pics! I have driven it maybe a total of 15 miles since I have owned it. I bought it knowing that it was just a running driving project. I don't think I would drive this truck cross country! It runs good, and would probably live forever driving on a local basis, but I'm not sure how it would fare on a long distance journey. I bought it about 100 miles away from me and trailered it home! I just put a set of refurbished exhaust manifolds on it, and it has like new dual exhaust with Borla mufflers. I also just installed a brand new HEI distributor, spark plugs, temp sender, and changed the oil. $3400 OBO including spare door and hood! I might have some interior options available also if wanting to add power windows and locks!

what is the gcw? I see 24,000 on the door.. registered @ 24k but is on the vin 10,000lb or 12000 or???

For the record, everything that I have done with MaxMan has been as promised and excellent. My only complaint is the distance between us.

Yep. Washington state! I will have to look at the title tonight to see what it's actual rating is.

On my phone it doesn't show location, but I remember buying that 205 and Th350 from you and thought you shipped it from Washington.

no way that would be 24,000 my 5500 gmc med duty is only 19.5 at work I drive .

and if it was it would have gvw or weight next to the letters .

and like we have talked before I have mostly ever seen 4x4 above 10k in 80 only 1 year and it was 12k std cab .

have heard of a lot of 2wd getting up in the 15gvw spec .

Mine have always been either just under 10K (for insurance concerns - companies like State Farm think any vehicle over 10K should be a commercial policy even though you could be pulling horses with it) or just over 12K.

Back in the day in Washington you could add tonnage to your vehicle. I don't know the in and outs of it, but you used to see these trucks with all kinds of wacky ratings on the side of them. Of course those days are over, but you have to watch it when you buy them from guys that have had them forever because when you go to transfer the title they will sometimes still hit you with that added tonnage and it costs a buttload!

But NJ lift Law Exempt and then I can run 39.5 boggers or 42: boggers... until then I am stuck with my 38.8" hawgs

I will 2nd this. MaxMan is a good honest man that holds true to his word when dealing with these rigs. If you are purchasing a rig from him and you are out of state, he will do everything he can to make sure you know exactly what you are purchasing. Very good dude!

Geeze MaxMan....you get your hands on all the good stuff! Good luck with the sell!
