Good Luck bud...what's your MOS?....I just got out myself...if you need someone to babysit the Blazer kep me in mind:haha:

Easy money...you get paid to stay in shape and do what you love...be a gearhead!!!....just remember with the new structuring of mechanics you'll be working on whatever you have in your unit not just light wheels...i've worked on everything from the company weedeater, the CO's jeep to M1 tanks...learn every piece of equipment you can!!!...also when you get to AIT you want to be in the top 10% of your class so you can go to Recovery school and play in the Mud...good luck to ya bud.

Ya aint that the truth I will be retired as of Friday...I am a 63B but when you are a light wheel mechanic you are considered a everything mechanic. If you do anything other than go to ASI class thats the H8 (the mud playing after AIT) when you get to your unit volunteer to go to any and all mechanic classes you can to learn all the new vehicles/equipment so that you are the squared away guy in the unit.
It may be a pain in the arse at first to be the only one to know all about the new stuff but you will be the one to get looked at for the promotions first. Also take all the school you can when you are a private so when its time for you to move into the NCO ranks you dont struggle to get promotion point like I did.
O and if you need anything and I mean ANYTHING at all let the brotherhood know. There are several of us who are ex military or current military and can help. I still have all my issue stuff if you need any of it.

thank u guys so much, but i got pushed for another 2-4 weeks. due to complications with the schools system bein down :(

stephan what are the issue stuff??

You live so damn close and we never even hooked up to just B.S. . . . Oh well I`ll be here when you get out in , what 4 yrs???

Damn I sure wish I had joined the Army.....Ya`ll making me sad , LOL

The issue stuff is the stuff you will get issued to you once you get to your unit it is your gear that you get from CIF ( Central Issue Facility)
