Spotted this Blazer today, looks like they tried to recreate the patina of the first gens. Usually on the 80's trucks the paint just falls off and revels the grey primer which doesn't look that great.

I like the real thing better
Went to a local car show few years ago and parked 2 away from a real good fake job . . But it sure couldn't hold a candle the my real thing . He wound up moving away to a different area cause he wasn't getting the eye traffic like mine . :rotfl:

Looks like they had some real patina in one spot were it looks rubbed off and you can see the transition, then the rest is an abrupt change.
Not successful in my opinion

I dont understand this fad one bit, why spend time to make something look bad.
Agreed - I think it’s the desire to be or have something that it’s truly not.
Kinda like someone try’n to be a road hard badass biker but all they really are is some kinda one weekend a month warrior who bought some leather gear and are afraid to get it scuffed but they think everyone buys their fake image.

Goes back to the whole “Built not bought” type of mindset - some folks can’t achieve the real deal so they fool themselves by creating or buying it.
That’s alright but too many folks try and sell a false image and want others to believe the hype.
