I'm going to look at a 4x4 K2500 1982 Burb, 350/TH350/np208/10bolt front/14semi floater rear. What were the usual diff gears for these things and tow ratings? I didn't find much googling for a '82 on the net. Thanks in advance.

Tow rating, I'm not sure. It's probably 3.73. If the tag is still one one of the rear diff cover bolts it should say the ratio.

Well I bought it. I did know if about the diff tags but usually the are gone, so thought I'd ask if anyone was familiar with the gearing...and yes, probably 3.73.

Only 47,000 miles. I'm happy with it, although I am required to take the lights and sirens off before I can license it.

Nice! Unlike most, I love the way they look at stock ride height, not even sure why, I just do.

so what you are saying is you have to take the lights and sirens off to get it licensed... so you can put the sirens back in right...

...I love cool old suburbans!!:waytogo:
