Picking up the new passenger floor over my lunch today. Price wasn't bad through Discount Steel, who has a shop here in Minneapolis. I plan on doing this to the driver's side as well, to get rid of some of the smaller patches and the secondary layer of rusted metal that the PO left.
I'll post some pics of progress, the last day has been slow. I didn't want to drop the fuel tank or lines since I have to do this in my driveway, so I'm just trying to be really careful about sparks.. which means I can't go too nuts with the angle grinder. Dremel, tin snips, and sawzall have been working pretty well, just slow with the two layers of cab floor. I've been covering the fuel line with aluminum foil, and then packing damp rags around things that seem potentially flammable. I might switch to using some big magnets and some fiberglass welding blankets once I clear out a little more of the floor and start grinding down supports and things.
