Hey y'all

So I've been going around looking for a decent setup to plan out. I have a stock truck that I plan on putting on a 4 inch lift and using to haul boats and take out on mild trails all while being a DD. I want to soften up the suspension by swapping out the leaf springs to a lower spring rate but but want to keep the rear leaves strong enough to tow. I was also thinking of throwing Bilstein coil covers in the front to keep the ride smooth. What are yalls thoughts? Post them up!

You could use Tuff County sort ride 4" front and the Tuff Country HD 4" rear.

Coil overs and leaf springs won't mix- its one or the other. For what it's worth, I think that BDS is the best way to go. I just put their front springs in my K5 and they worked out very nicely.

do you happen to know the spring rate? im trying to invest some money in a decent leaf spring set up for optimal towing/off road performance

you cant have optimal towing and optimal off road performance together. your asking the spring to do 2 different things that are the exact opposite. You can have optimal towing and sucky off road. Or you can have sucky towing and optimal off road. Or you can try to split the baby and have leaf's that suck at both.
I would get 2 good sets of flexible leafs and put air bags in the back. fill the bags up when you want to tow or carry something heavy. leave them empty and use the leafs when you want to wheel and need the flex.

BDS for best off the shelf lift kit spring ride . TUFF COUNTRY is also another top quality off the shelf lift kit spring brand. i my self have tuff country in a k30 plow truck and am happy .

then if no crazy flexing in your plans a set of air bags in the rear .

but if you will be flexing and or dont want to air up the bags go timbren bump stop kit . they work real good inplace of bags.

also good bilstien shock 1 per corner . offroad design has good shocks for this and lots of other stuff.
