Has anyone ever made a conversion kit for a coilover from a leaf front suspension for a '83 K5 ? Is it worth the hasle to do this if so? I mainly use this truck as a show truck.

Not that I know of, but a guy in my area (owns www.ironbender.com and the orange Bronco that was on the cover of Four Wheeler) has an '86-'88 Suburban K20 with a swapped in 6.5L Turbodiesel that he uses as a tow rig and for trips down to Baja. He swapped in Ford coils up front with a radius arm setup and says that it handles the whoops much better out in the desert. It looks really clean, and definitely rides a lot nicer than the factory leafs.
