I'm the kid that started a new board. I don't quite know how i managed to do that. It still has the 4" superlift, 33"m/t's, stock rims, need advice on energy suspension bushings, will they help the bad body panel matches. my frame is straight and not cracked. im also not finding any grey seat belts. will a single steering stabilizer help out any on the front end?, it gets a bit wobbly at 65, im keeping the rubber rotated and aligned. thanks.

Describe the wobble a little better. Is it a shimmy, vibration, wandering back and forth. If wandering, do a search on steering brace rather than dampner or shock. The guys here swear by them. It's 30 degrees today and I finally have my truck running ... am going to attempt the brace if these old bones can stand the cold! Let you know how it turns out.

Seat belts ... looking for them myself. There are some offered by LMC.com or Cheyennepickup.com I just need the factory molding between the seats and console. Haven't found them. Search button can help the new guy a lot. The questions you have are addressed over and over here. You can get good help by using the search, then ask for details if you need more help.

Ps Don't know what you did to the board either, but you got some boys in an uproar!

This too will pass. LOL

I might be able to help you guys out on the factory seatbelts. Let me know what exactly you need.

FLWIV440- I need the plastic covers for the seat belts between the seats. Tan in color. If you can help, I thank you.

Seatbelts are in very good condition, the latch posts, (between the seat and console) have cracks in the plastic skin, but are completly functional. I'll give them to you + shipping if and when I find a black set.

Brace will help a good bit but I would go through check your wheel bearings and If you don't know when the ball joints were done last I would go ahead and replace them. If you have recently installed a lift go and check the torq on all the suspension Ubolts. Also check the tierod ends and you may want to tighten up the box some. With that age there is bound to be some wear. Thats done with the jam nut and Allen bolt on the top of the box. Loosen the jam nut and turn the allen about 3/4 of a turn and see how it feels.

ok, another question, i have replaced front wheel bearings, but have acquired an annoying clicking noise from front left wheel, my thought is hte steering u-joint, when am i going ot know if it's time for it to be replaced, there is a little slack, but nothing unbelievable. if so, how involved is replacing this u-joint?

The clicking could be anything from a loose center cap to lugnuts to lockouts to knuckle u-joints, start checking easiest to hardest in order.

i have been looking for burgundy seat belts for my 78 (changing interior from tan to burg.), also would need the plastic sheath.
