ok im mounting my power steering pump back onto my 350, and i cant figure out how to mount the brackets. im not putting a/c into it but i think i still need to use the brackets. can anyone post pics or advice?

If using the AC brackets, you need to use a portion of the one that bolts to the exhaust manfold studs.

I think most people just cut the extra metal that the AC compressor bolted to, off.

yea, when i took them off i didnt remeber how they went back on. dumb mistake. but i knew it was complicated, how many brackets should there be? i have 3

Can't really tell you off the top of my head, but three sounds right...one on the pump body, one on the back of that bracket, then the upper one that bolts to the manifold?

A picture of the brackets you're working with might help. Chevy used several different bracket sets over the years. I had mine off for an extended time and lost a bracket or two.

After searching the junkyards for the right set again, I just ended up buying a new set from Alan Grove Components. It sure cleaned things up, and allowed me to nix the bracket that used to attach to the passenger side head. Might have to put a york there now.:D

Not my picture, but this is the bracket I use...
