A couple of years ago I had this 77 K5 that I ended up selling for whatever reason.

I tried the Jeep thing for a while and decided to get back to my roots. I found this jewel in a local salvage yard a while back.

It wasn't much, but at least the floors were decent and was worth starting with. I traded 3 junk pickups for it. The deal was I could pilfer everything I needed before bringing them in.

4.56 3/4 t axles installed. Found a pair of doors that at least had all the mechanicals in them.

Feel free to ask, criticize, praise, whatever. I will acknowledge/ignore as necessary.

I see you gotcha one of those Calico trucks!! All go and no show, I hear ya!

You gonna trim and upgrade the tires?

I love it, but you already knew that. More pictures. Like ones from Tuttle . . . . . .

My index finger is still numb from painting it, but I think it looks better since it's all one color and it was cheap.

I'm liking the CUCV vibe that it's emitting.

I think it looked better with the top on, but I needed to paint the bed rails and such.

oooowwww das very nice! I think a CK5 winshield banner would look right at home!!!!

KILLER KILLER!!!!!! I totally dig that look, the color, the rims and tires....thats a man's truck no doubt!!!! A nice big "Dont Tread on Me" decal on the rear gate and you are ready to rock!

Not that I don't think that's a good idea, but since I am not in the military, I will leave the "Don't tread on me" to those who have been there and done that. They have my utmost respect.

I applaud you

I have to say I really enjoy when someone brings one back from the "dead." looks like yer doin' an awesome job. this time don't sell it! I had my first k-5 right out of high school and kept it for almost 9 years until it started having some issues (247,000 miles, all original except a starter!) when I sold it to a more mechanically inclined friend. kicked myself in the ass for about 6 years and like you, found a "new" baby to love. ironically it's the same year same color same drivetrain.:D all I can say is I'm a happy man again! you know the feeling, so enjoy and congrats!

If the chain was broke it would do that wouldn't it?

I love it too jake but not like Marty. I thought he was going to send me pics of him touching himself as excited as he was. WOW. Tuttle then on to Moab.

never mind guys i figured it out the blazer is working fine now. all it was the trans filter was loose i pulled the trans pan off drained the fluid out and put a new filter on. some one had the bolt that holds the filter on wrong.the filter was not conected to the pickup tube.
