1984 K5 M1009 Cummins & Tons

A build thread of my 1984 M1009 Cummins swap and tons.
I was thinking the same, check the king pins over good
I completely rebuilt the Kingpin setup top and bottom. I'm curious if the oversized tires could overpower the spring on the plastic bushing and cone on the top side if that's even possible? Was thinking about switching to spring eliminators to see if that would help?
 
Inspect you leaf and shackle bushings and TRE’s before tearing into the kingpins.

IMO, the heavy engine is a bigger concern than the tire size for the king pins. Shimming the spring is another option if you don’t want to go springless.
