1984 LNB

View attachment 209211 View attachment 209212

Did some parts trading and ended up with this a while back; it is a 1984 3/4 ton LNB Chevy with 350/465/208 with 3.42's in the axles.

plans are a 6" lift with 2.5" ORD shackle flip in rear with zero rate and Hill's shackles in the front.
Warn classic front bumper with an 8274 and heavy duty rear bumper
38" radial Swampers for street and 38" SX's for off road
Qualitex front seat with fold down console
new Energy Suspension body bushings

maybe trade the axles for a 4.10 set
maybe trade the 350 for a 454

and whatever else I find laying around in the parts emporium; I already have all this stuff and it isn't doing anything
it won't be a wheeler; already have that covered. just something to go back to what started me in the four wheel world[/quote]

going to throw this out there:
what gearing would you run?
3.42 is 2117 at 70
3.73 is 2309 at 70
4.10 is 2538 at 70
4.56 is 2822 at 70
5.13 is 3175 at 70

I already have the axle sets. the 3.42, 3.73 and 4.10 are 10/14 SF sets and the 4.56 set is a 44/70 set while the 5.13 set is a 44/14 FF set. I am not scared of the 9.5 SF; if I do happen to break it I will change it out to a FF

might even change the transfer case; I have a 32 spline 208 fixed yoke that was built using the back half of a Dodge case

4:10s look about right, if you are doing any freeway driving.

That is awesome don't see many of these out and about!

I agree with Phil since it sounds like a mostly street rig 4.10's

if you have hills where you are I vote 4.56..

This if hills too, but it says he's in TX, so odds are this thing will mainly be used in TX so I say 4.10's. Should be a cool all around rig that has many uses. It's always nice to have one of those around no matter who you are.

Long Narrow Bed

I think.

yes, don't see too many around. I have a frame with a white long wide bed on it; but this is a little different.
in reality I should have waited to post this pic; I have a few other projects to finish and make room in the shop

yep in Texas; I want to build it as Chevy is what first got me into wheeling and I still have a few laying around. some of you may remember LEPER; I ended up with his blazer and still take it wheeling occasionally. but this build is just for the "cool factor." I really don't have to buy any parts. years ago I was big on all the forums, eBay, wherever buying parts and as a result I have 2 shops at the house full of parts. just remembered, I also have ORD steering brace and ORD body pucks, a new set of the Edelbrock IAS shocks for the lift.

Anything ever happen with this truck?

not yet; last year by this time I had already been wheeling about 10 times. Right now my focus has shifted to cleaning my shops, cleaning around my house, improving the house with a new well, new plumbing, new A/C and heat, new flooring in the kitchen and dining room, I would like to concrete my drive and the area between the shops and my house.

I have mentioned selling it a couple of times but my wife always tells me to keep what I want to keep.
