Hello Guys,

I`m from Azerbaijan, Baku (small country in east Europe) Sorry for my
English.
I started this project almost 1,5 year ago. It is half done know and I want
to show it to you and get some advices.

I have 85 Military k 5 Blazer with 6.2 diesel (M1009). I love chevy trucks,
specially k5.
So i decide to build this lovely truck for off road use.

I leave in a small country, we have very limited quantity of old
American cars here, so there are no any cool new parts here. :( I was
looking for the company who will provide me with all new HD parts, my
point was to install all new parts

I searched internet and found Off Road design.

I decide to buy all parts directly from them. Because i was sure that
this guys most professional than any other companies. I spoke with
Stephen, very nice guy, he was very pleased with me, i was more than
happy with services which they provide.
So we decide to buy a frame of k5 and install all new cool parts on
this frame, and after that, it can be shipped directly to my country
like almost finished car.

Sorry if thread in wrong place

Transmission:

Level 3, 4L80E / Quadzilla Transmission and Converter

along with Winter's Sidewinder Standard Shifter
std-shifter200x150.jpg

Some description on transmission:

The baddest of the bad, this is a non-electronic 4L80E transmission. Some of the features are: Full manual shifts - the transmission will be in the gear you select and changes to any gear you choose when you move the selector, no computer or wiring needed, Red Eagle clutches, Carbon fiber band, RedEagle PowerPacks for the forward, intermediate and direct clutches, Kolene steels, Red Eagle clutches for the overdrive and overrun clutch sets. The 16 element intermediate sprag is replaced with a 34 element sprag, rated up to 1200 horse power depending on upgrades and has full throttle 3-4 up-shifts. It comes with a non-lock-up torque converter (#L80-NLU) and the core charge is included in the price. This is the transmission that off-roaders, big horse power streeters and racers have been waiting for. Something with an overdrive gear that you can beat the snot out of without giving it or you a runny nose. It just gets comfortable at 900 horse power.

Yea, I wanna see it finished.

It's down to a really short list of things that I'm aware of, then the little detail of shipping:haha:, I,m not sure how you ship a vehicle over seas?

To the best of my knowledge once it leaves ORD and recieved all of the work will be transfered over to his chassis. It's been fun to work on I know that.:pimp: Unless things have changed since Stephen and I last talked this is basically a donor chassis and body that works well for getting an entire vehicle worth of parts over seas. it isn't being made to run or drive at ORD.

I'm not in on the fine details but it is a cool project. Never worked on something for an overseas client.:waytogo:

That's an interesting way to handle the shipment. My mother-in-law sold an old Cadillac to a guy out here that buys old American cars and ships them to the Ukraine or Russia where they are really sought after. He shipped them from Canada for some reason.

thanks a lot guys ... i really love this truck and now not going to offrad trips about 1,5 year. because spending all my money to this project.
I hope the project almost finished, Stephen can update on this..when he have time.

the problem is that our customs do not allowed cars that is less than 2000year.. that why i will need to ship my military blazer and USA blazer to Georgia which is 700 miles away from our country, and put all stuff from ORD one to military, and then come back to my country with finished military one.

btw here the link how engine is running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YX1hdncMnno
