Starting this one.

The truck is actually a friend's but im doing the conversion and engine change and suspension work. He is an avid 4x4 guy with a growing family and needs the room also. So there will be a Blazer for sale in his future.

Starting with this 85 crew cab. Its a very clean truck. A few dents but no rust.
Body with. The bed is coming off and overall keeping as low as possible

These are the parts we have for it.

GM Ram Jet 350
SM465 with an Atlas
39.5 SSRs on trail ready bead locks
Fully rebuilt Dana 60 and 14 Bolt with 4.56s and Detroits
ORD engine mounts and engine crossmember
ORD steering braces

Still need to get
The small stuff, brake lines, crossover parts
DIY A-bomb
Rear shackles flip and 64s
Front springs ( not sure which ones yet, stock lift, 52s or 56s)

This is going to be a good one

Awesome plans!!! I'm looking forward to seeing this truck progress!!!! Your friend's starting point looks almost identical to mine except mine is a 4wd BUT, your friend's truck's body looks a lot better! I can't wait to see the "finished" project! (they're never truly finished, LOL!)

Saw this thread and I was thinking "how have I missed this one?" But then I saw you just started this today. :D

Sounds like a cool build!

It will be cool. I tried selling him my 86 K30 but he wanted this instead.
There was a point i wanted to keep the brown one, but he fell in love with it
