. '85/'86 Chevy factory manual, c/k trucks.

On the frikkin' electrical diagram, they label the circuits starting with a .5, .8, etc.

WTF does that stand for? Gauge?

Goddamned wiring.
 
Haven't seen it start with that number too often but usually it means diameter of wire in mm.

I love wiring diagrams. It's like a map to your vehicle. But it has things like connector number, pin location, circuit number, wire color, wire diameter, and connector type.
 
Ok, sounds like it's more or less gauge. Of course, it would have been a bit easier if they would have just used the bloody gauges like everyone else does, instead of going all euro on us.

Not to mention changing the wiring colors from year to year, that's always a big plus.

Now to find a decent aftermarket replacement for that firestarter otherwise knows as a junction block. I'm going to be really pissed if I have to do a deutsch connector and hack that cab fuse block.

Wiring sucks. Major time suck.
