I am going to sell my K5 to fund another project. It is an '85 that has been made in to an offroad only machine. It has a 454 running on propane, with a turbo 400 and 205 transfer case. It has a dana 60 front and 14FF rear with 4.56 gears and locked on both ends. The steering is full hydraulic. The tires are 44 inch TSL's on 15x10 rock crawler wheel. I can run at 5 psi and have never lost a bead. The suspension consists of 6 inch front springs, 2 inch rear with DIY4X flip. It works amazingly well. It also has 2 inches of body lift. The 205 is twin sticked with JKW-Offroad shifters. The cage is 1 5/8 DOM race car tubing. The winch is a little undersized but works well. It is a Ramsey 8000 with a new series wound motor.

The truck works AWESOME! It has been up the punisher at Morris Mountain, and pretty much every other trail there.

Asking $5500. You couldn't begin to build it for that!

Damn, I hate to see you sell it. That's a smoking deal for someone wanting a turnkey wheeler.

Never fear! There is another K5 in the works.....just a little different spin.

going to build a 2wd pro touring '86 K5 with a 427 and a 6-speed rolling on 18's! (and cold air of course!) :)

Now that sounds like a nice project. Keep us posted on the progress. Are you getting out of the 4x stuff altogether?

Thanks, that is exactly what I was thinking! :)

Come on guys, you can't even buy a new 4wd quad for the same money!

Not geting out completely, just getting out of the hard core crawling. I still have another 4wd k5.

I honestly can't believe this isn't gone...I know its only been like a day or two but still...for that price you couldn't even get the axles, wheels/tires...shoot even the big block!

I'm in central Alabama near Montgomery.

I can't think of anything I need in trade. I need the cash to fund another project.

Thanks,
Mike
