I'm watching a farm auction about 4 miles from my house and this CUCV just went for $8K. I checked it out and it was solid but nothing special about.

I always wondered if those had a rear locker or front limited slip.

1028s had an overload spring in the rear, NP205 case usually on the ambulances only or 208, and a limited slip in the front 60. Duallys got a Dana 70 rear with detroit locker. SRW had a 14 bolt ff with detroit.

It is special only in that it is the M1028 A3 variant (dually). The standard M1008 that is more abundant should not bring as much.

And the 60 posi / limited slip was the light duty trac-lok aka trash lok . Should of been a power-lok unit .

Yes, I was unfortunate enough to grab a 60 that had one, and it was already broken.
