I am getting ready to replace the 305 in my Blazer with a stronger 350. The 305 runs well enough but is under powered (highway use) and pretty well used.
My question is where is best place to buy complete "Crate engine".
Summit is on my list but also looking for other places that sell crate engines.
Recommendations??
Thanks
Z

Have you checked your local Chevy/GM dealerships? Normally I would never go to a dealer for anything, but I recently bought a brand new crate 350 and I looked everywhere online for the best deal. Turns out most of the dealers in my area had the same or better prices for a stock GM crate engine as most of the online places (Summit, JEGS, etc) did, plus I didnt have to pay for shipping. I ended up calling around and found a Chevy dealer in Phoenix that lowered his price a couple houndred dollars cheaper than any place I could find.

Jegs is still offering their basic Goodwrench 350 for 1499 with free shipping. It won't blow you away, but it is a good, basic 4 bolt main motor for the truck. I got one of those and put in a 4x4 cam and some Vortec heads and it has done very well so far.

If you come to dallas I'll give you a gm crate 350 with an eldelbrock intake and M/T valve covers for $1200 bucks

How many miles on it? And you would have to wait until I got back which is a couple more months from now.

0 miles on it. And that would be okay. All it needs is the oil pan. If I find a restorable 67-69 camaro by then, then you may be out of luck:whistle:
