Testing the waters here a little. I really hate to get ride of my toy but I really need something to tow a little better. My K5 has a short wheel base and I can't put a goose neck hitch in it...
1985 K5
Engine- when I got my K5 I got a junk yard 350 with apx 80,xxx miles on it, at that time I installed Vortec heads (with MLS (multiple layer steel) head gaskets to get the compression ration back to the Tbi heads) a nice tow cam (not sure on the specs) New vortec intake, Mallory HEI style distributor, all new gaskets, new fuel pump, elebrock 650 carb, basicially new engine.. the bottom end looked 100% great so I didn't rering it.... The engine is VERY strong and tows what I stick behind it great.
Trans- 1976 model SM465 with NP205 Case
Axles- 1976 model Dana 44 8 lug, 14 bolt with disc brakes and new pads all the way around with 4.56 gears from the General
The body is not perfect but looks in over all good condition. There is a few patch panels in the floorboard but nothing major. Pait looks good in these pictures but the passenger side front is not that great. and it has some scratches.
Interior is blue stock vynal (drivers side has been recovered) Ac is partially there. (I found a "dealer" installed AC unit that I have 85% installed) floor and back section is Dura-Backed. CD player, really nice dash cover with no cracks.
What am I missing? really a nice K5.... oh yea wheels are 16 inch polished bullet holes with Buck Shot Mudders 315's I am not sure on the lift but it is between a 4-6 I think. I know for sure it would fit 36's.
Ask you question...?....?....?....
I would like to get 20K if possible
but realisticially I would say maybe 6K... What's it worth? would consider trade for a cummins extended cab manual trans....
