Hi all, so I have my little project going on right now and we just put the 33'12.5 in tires on there and it looks like I'm going to need a lift kit  I am thinking a 4" lift would serve me well, but I dont know which one is the best or which one will give you the most bang for your buck. Any suggestions?! I am on a budget so I am hoping anything <1000 installed. Any pics of your k5's would give me a great idea! Thanks alot:woot:

How much would a fair price for an install and How hard and time consuming would it be to install it myself?:dunno:

You can do it if you can run hand tools. I did a corner a day over a week long only using hand tools. You can do it in a long day.

Okay, I have all the tools that I would need at my brother's house including air tools, so I am going to look and find a kit on ebay and then go for it! I will post some pics on this thread after I'm done:popcorn:

eBay is not the place to find what you're looking for. I think the concensus here is to get lift that was mentioned in post #2. They have a good quality lift at a reasonable price and you can get everything you need at one stop instead of peacing it together.

Okay, but when I went to look at it, you choose what you need for your lift. Mine is stock so should I buy one of each thing that they have?

What are your plans with the Blazer? Do you plan to take it off road? Are you against trimming sheet metal?

We have almost finished putting in the newly rebuilt 350 and its going to be basically an offroad rig...I have just enough to turn the wheel as it is like within centimeters of rubbing, and offroad im afraid that if I just cut the fenders I am going to ruin the looks and still not be able to flex. Nothing major just some mud and hills but I don't want to ruin my tires with rubbing

52s front and rear? Shackle flip and a b52 up front and some craigslist/ebay 52s, pass knuckle, steering box and a crossover steering kit from ORD would make a nice rig.

You have to excuse what an ugly, rusty, pos my Suburban is, but this stance is with factory springs.

It has the front fenders trimmed. A 1" ORD body lift with a new set of body mounts from LMC. A three pack of front springs, with a 1" zero rate spring on the front, and a 2" lift block on the rear. It currently has 315/70R17's on it, but I have had 37" Goodyear Hummer takeoffs on it.

Here is my build thread for it:

For a little tire like a 33", I think my "lift" would work perfect, and deliver near stock like ride.

Dont worry my blazer isnt the prettiest either :pimp: Would I need to modify anything with a 4" lift or would everything stay the same??

If you're gonna stick with 33s, a nice quality 2" lift would work well...but generally once you start you'll want to go bigger later!

Ck my build thread in my sig, I'm running 4" springs up front and a shackle flip in the rear

Call up ord and get their 4 inch front spring and shackle flip rear kit. They will have everything you need at a good price. They can talk you through the different options.
